Description: The responsibility of Bangladesh Film Censor Board is to issue, after proper scrutiny, the certificate of clearance in favor of a motion picture or a movie for its release in theatres. The board carries out this responsibility abiding by the rules and regulations stated in The Rules for Censorship of Films published in 1977. The office of Bangladesh Film Censor Board consists of a Vice Chairman, a Secretary of the state, six inspectors and other staff who rule out the administrative duties. And, the board that decides if a film is eligible to get the certificate of clearance consists of members nominated by the government from different classes and stages of the society. The number of the members is also determined by the government. However, any director, producer or distributor can appeal against the decision of the censor board to the Film Censor Appeal Committee.

Description: Bangladesh Film Archive is the organization that archives all the prints, negatives, screenplays, photographs, trailers, censor certificates, records, souvenirs, film journals, criticisms, posters, banners, classic films and evry piece of valuable information regarding films in order to preserve the history for generations to come.There is also a library in the archive for relevant studies. Thus, they also contribute a great deal as an information storehouse whenever any research work is done in the relevant fields or if any relevant seminar or symposium is arranged.
